Wii Preorders

October 12th 2006 22:12
Perorders for the Nintendo Wii will start at gamestops and EB games as of tomorrow. They are saying that they will only be offering limited preorders, so i would call you local stores and find out when they open and be there bright and early.

Only a little more than a month left people. I can't wait.

Once again, a gap in news

October 9th 2006 18:43
Ah. So here we all are, searching under pillows and behind dressers, trying to scrap up enough money for the forecomming Nintendo Wii. Atleast, thats what I have been spending my time doing. Even with the low price, it looks like I am just barly going to be able to get one on launch day, and I must say I am quite excited. However, in this dwindling down time before the launch, once again we find ourselves with a shortage of news. We know all about the system, the price, the launch, and stuff like that. Nintendo is wowing us with the Mii Parade, as well as other cool features. But really all anyone wants is to play one right now. Interviews have said that demos are comming. I myself can't wait to see the Wii booth set up at my local stores, and might just sit there and play it all day. Also, preorder news hasn''t come out yet, with Nintendo fans holding their breath as to when each and every one of us will be able to make sure that we can get our hands on this shiny white console. However, many FYE chain stores have started taking preorders, but they have been offering preorders for quite some time now. I would advise using a local game store, but I myself may have to rely on Walmart(insert pause here for every video gamer in the world to groan, moan and whine, i know, i hate walmart to), as there is no gamestop or anything close by. I may end up preordering one that is within a little drive, just so I can be sure that I get one on release day. Althought camping out in front of Walmart waiting for it has always sounded fun to me...

So really, all we have left to do it wait. Wii box at has been leaking out bit by bit(http://wii.ign.com/articles/735/735577p1.html), and hopefully within a day or two we all will be able to preorder our systems. As soon as I know stores are preordering, I will make a post to send the word out. heaven knows i don't want to leave getting my Wii up to chance on the 17th. Only a little more than a month away people, it will be here before we know it. Until then, keep rocking it, and remember when it is time to vote in nov., vote mario.

Nintendo's Creativity Soars

October 4th 2006 01:21
source-http://wii.ign.com/articles/737/737078p1.html

Hello everyone out there. Not a whole lot of news has been popping up, but this one little tidbit cought my eye and I thought you all would enjoy it. It turns out the "Wii Channels" are being put to more use than we every knew. One such channel planned is all about making your own avatar, and pretty much just hanging with your friends. The amount of thinking behind it looks great, such as the ability for other people's avatar to pop up in your games, for instance in the crowd while you are playing Wii Tennis. it really adds customization to games, as well as to the console. What else can I say guys, but im excited already

the Aftermath

September 17th 2006 23:39
Well, things have settled down a little bit more, with the big announcments out of the way, there is only one thing left to do, wait. IGN has loads of new videos and hands on of games I wish i could play right now. I suggest checking out the new videos of Zelda, they were simply nothing short of amazing. November can not come soon enough..

In the mean time, I have come down with a cold, so if updates are a little more spread out this week, forgive me. I am currently playing through Banjo Tooie, and want to try to get a hands on/review type thing of that up sometime this week. I know it is lame to have reviews of really old games up, but I don't have access to new unreleased titles lol. I can say however that I will have Wii impressions as soon as I get one on the 19th. until then I shall have to dance and try to find things to keep everybody occupied. I suggest a stroll down to IGN, they have loads of stuff to check out from the conference. I myself am most excited about Zelda, but Mario is lookign to be quite a title

Nintendo Conference Part One

September 14th 2006 01:17
I am st arting this post, now at 20 after 9. No real news has leaked out yet, but I want to capture the moments leading up to one of the biggest moments in modern gaming.

I really think wii will see an early release date, and I think the 199 price date fits. Althought I wouldn't be suprised it it launched for cheaper. I also hope to see soe new TP stuff, that game is looking amazing. Hopefully I won't have to stay up horribly late to find out. However, I am a fan first, I am staying up because I want to know, not because I have a blog to update lol. Don't feel to special. I want to know all this info just as much as you all do. Frankly, I was doing this same thing during E3, and then again at the german convention a few weeks ago. Needless to say, I feel we should have found out price and release date a long time ago...but o well. Nintendo is running the show and I am not, so I'll trust them on this one for the time being. So really, I wish I was in Japan. Sitting in the conference. It must be way better being inside there, then being here waiting from news from the inside. Really tho, it is weird, to think that all the way on the other side of the globe, people are in a bustling convention center at some huge secret meeting, it really makes time zones stick out you know? Like, if I end up going to bed before news comes out, well I am sleeping the video game world could be changing overseas, again scary. Hopefully the news will start comming soon

The Breathe Before the Plunge

September 12th 2006 00:32
So here we are, only a few short days away from the Nintendo conference. The pressure hasn't quite hit me yet, but you can believe me come Thursday I will be jumping at every chance I can get to get to a computer during school, trying to get tidbits of information here and there. In the mean time, there is a lot of other news comming out, in the forms of games(splinter cell!), as well as interviews beign released that really show what went into the making of the Wii as we know it.

Also, although this is entirely off topic, I am playing through Banjo Tooie again, and just finish the race against Canary Mary in Glitter Gulch Mines. Hoping to finish up the mines soon, then backtrack and finish up the Temple. Hey, I have to play something waiting for new games don't I? I hope I have time to play through Orcarina of Time before the WIi is released as well, refreshing me on everything Zelda before what is looking to be the best one yet. My life will be defined by one sole moment, the moment I turn the Wii and and swing the remote, and see Link swing his sword on tv

In a recent interviw, Wii IGN has shown pictures of the steering wheel attachment for the Wii controller. The Wii controller sits in the shell, and the shell comes bundled with the game. It is said most racing games will work with the wheel attachment.
